Goofish Cookie Policy

(Effective as of August 28 2024)

This Cookie Policy explains how Goofish operating by GOODUSUS PTE. LTD, GOOFISH PTE. LTD, and their affiliated companies (“Goofish”, “we”, “us”, “our”) use cookies and similar technologies to recognize your device when you visit Goofish mobile application (together the “Services”). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

1. What are Cookies?

1.1. Cookies are small amounts of data that your browser receives and stores on the local drive of your computer or mobile device, which enable your device to be recognized when you visit a website or application.
1.2. Goofish, particularly mobile application version, use other technologies that function in a similar way to cookies, and are used for similar purposes. For example, we use advertising identifiers, a category of unique identifiers which are stored on your device and which enable your device to be recognized by us and third parties for personalized advertising and ad measurement purposes. Besides, we use Software Developer Kits (“SDKs”), a collection of software development tools in one installable package, which allows third party developers to integrate with our mobile application for specific purposes (e.g., authentication).
For the purposes of this Cookie Policy, we use the terms “Cookie” and “Cookies” generally to describe cookies and any other technologies or tracking methods that operate in a similar way to cookies, including those described above.
1.3 First party Cookies. Cookies set by the owner of the application that you are visiting (in this case, Goofish) are called “first party Cookies”. Only the application owner can access the first party Cookies it sets.
1.4 Third party Cookies. Cookies set by parties other than the application owner are called “third party Cookies”. Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through an application (e.g. like advertising, measurement, analytics, interactive content and social sharing). The parties that set these third-party Cookies will be able to recognize your device both when it visits the website or application in question and also when it visits other websites that have partnered with them.
1.5 Session Cookies. Session Cookies are Cookies that last as long as your online session, and will automatically expire from your computer or device after you end your browsing session (and close your browser or application).
1.6 Persistent Cookies. Persistent Cookies are Cookies that will remain on your computer or device after your browsing session has finished. These Cookies are required to enable an application operator to recognize your device across different browsing sessions. For example, to remember your online preferences.

2. Why do we use Cookies?

We use first-party and third-party Cookies for a number of reasons. Some Cookies are strictly necessary to make our Services work and to ensure data and IT security and prevent fraudulent activities. We refer to these as “operationally essential Cookies”. Other Cookies enable us to provide Service functionality, or to enhance user experience on our Services by providing them with personalized content and advertising using statistical web analysis. For this purpose, the Cookies are stored on your device and certain personal data (e.g., IP addresses, data on your device and your activities in our application) are processed. For example, we obtain information about how our Services are used. We also use cookies to better understand how our customers use our Services so that we can make optimizations (e.g., by measuring visits).

The specific types of first-party Cookies in use on our Services and the purposes they perform are described in our Cookie Setting tool and our Privacy Policy. We may use third-party Cookie in the future, depending on our business development and potential legal compliance requirement. For more details on the Cookies, please refer to the following table:
