Personal Information Processing Rules on AMAP Account Services

I.
Scope of Application
The Personal Information Processing Rules on AMAP Account Services (hereinafter referred to as “the Rules”) provide details on the collection and use of personal information in AMAP Account Services (also referred to as “the Service”). The Rules apply to related services provided through websites, client applications, mini-programs, and other new forms of services that may arise with technological advancements. Your consent to these rules indicates that you have understood the personal information required for the operation of AMAP Account Services and authorize the collection and use of such information. Before you start using our products and services, please carefully read and understand the Rules, especially the clauses marked in bold, to ensure that you fully comprehend and agree to them before proceeding with the relevant functions.
The specific AMAP Account Service you receive may vary depending on the software versions, devices and the country or region in which you use our services. For versions, devices, or regions where certain services or functions are unavailable, the relevant provisions of the Policy will not apply.
The Rules specifically explain the functions/services provided by AMAP Account Services, the purposes, scope, and methods of collecting and using personal information, and the scenarios in which personal information may be transferred to third parties (if any). Other aspects, such as customer service and dispute resolution, security assurances, additional rules on personal information collection and use, cooperation with third parties, transfer and disclosure of personal information, user rights, data storage, protection of minors, contact details, relevant definitions, and other general or principled content, are governed by the relevant provisions of the Privacy Policy on AMAP Basic Functions if you are located in China, or governed by the relevant provisions of the (Overseas version) if you are located outside of China (including HongKong, Macao and Taiwan Province).
II.
Information Collection and Use
To perform the functions of our products and/or services, you are required to authorize us to collect and use relevant information. If you choose not to provide certain information, you may not be able to use our products and/or services properly. If certain information is optional and not necessary for specific functions, we will specify it in the Rules. Below are the scenarios in which we collect and use your information:
1. Account Registration/Login

When registering or logging into an AMAP account, the following information is collected:
If you use a mobile phone for registration/login, one-click login or bind a mobile phone number to your account we collect your masked phone number(only for one-click login) and phone number as necessary information.
(2) If you register or log in using a third-party account or bind a third-party account to your AMAP account, we will collect information you provided to the third party (e.g., nickname, profile picture in some cases) with your authorization. This information is used to create and log in to your AMAP account, recover your account and password, or book products and/or services offered by third-party providers.
(3) If you register or log in using email, or bind an email to your AMAP accoutn, we will collect your email address.
(4) you can set a password for your AMAP accoutn and if you choose to log in with a username and password, we collect your account name and password.
(5) When using third-party products or services that require you to log in to or bind an AMAP account, we may share your nickname, profile picture, and other authorized information with the third party upon your authorization.
(6) If you log in to AMAP Products and Services using the same account on different hardware devices or application terminals, the information under your account (e.g., account details, search history, Favorites, frequently used addresses, trip history, vehicle information) may be synchronized across devices. This ensures a consistent and convenient user experience. The information synchronized across different AMAP Products and Services may vary. You can also choose whether to sync specific information across devices, such as Points of Interest (POIs), planned routes, or other information.
(7) Based on the user growth rules set by AMAP and the information generated during your use of AMAP Products and Services, your account level, achievements, and entitlements are determined and publicly displayed.
2. Account Information Display
(1) After successful registration/login, you may choose to enhance your account information (e.g., profile picture, nickname, birthday, personal signature) or upload a picture to generate a 2D digital image. These details are displayed on your profile page, in promotional activities, or for the issuance of user benefits. Such information is not mandatory. Please note that your nickname and profile picture will be publicly displayed.
(2) If you use the “Follow” Function, we will collect your following and follower relationships with other AMAP users. Such information is not mandatory. Based on your interactions and connections with other users, we may recommend AMAP users to you.
(3) Your profile page will display your personal details, account information, usage records, follower lists, and information about users you follow. You can manage the content displayed on your profile by clicking on “Home” in the upper right corner of “My” or by clicking on your profile picture.
(4) Some personal details and usage records (e.g., registration date, total contributions, data dashboards, comments, guides, traffic condition reports, Q&A) are publicly displayed by default. Other users can view your profile by clicking on your profile picture. You can modify the default public settings in the Privacy Settings of your profile page.
3. Identity Verification
To comply with applicable laws and regulations, ensure user authenticity, manage fraud risks, and safeguard the security of our systems and services, we may collect information for identity verification when you use specific services/functions. Such information is not mandatory. For example: When using the “Account Recovery” function, we may collect and use your phone number, email, nickname, Alipay Password-Free Payment agreement number, order information, etc., based on your selected recovery method. When using services like AMAP Open Platform ID Verification, location claim services, or other identity verification functions, we may collect information such as your (or the uploader, contact person, administrator) name, ID number, phone number, contact email, photo of you holding your ID card, and location information. We may use Alipay’s ID Verification services to collect information such as your (or the uploader, contact person, administrator) name, ID number, and facial photos. Depending on the type of service you choose, we may also collect company-related information such as business licenses, authorization documents, storefront photos, and photos of the legal representative holding the ID card.
