Terms of Use
Effective: September 11, 2025
These terms of use govern your use of UC Browser and its related services for individuals, along with any associated applications and websites (collectively, the "Services"). This Terms of Use ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between the User and UCWeb Singapore Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter "UCWeb").
1.
Definitions
For purposes of this Agreement, the following terms will have the following meanings:
(1)
"Services" refers to the various services UCWeb provides, including, but not limited to, internet browsing, UC drive services, VPN services, AI chat services, search services, and other services updated or developed in the future. Please note that the specific services available to you may vary depending on where you reside.
(2)
"User"refers to the person who orders or downloads the software and/or activates the services for personal, non-commercial use.
(3)
Registration Data"refers to the name, avatar, email address, phone number, and other information a user provides when signing up for the Software, as required by UCWeb.
(4)
"Software" refers to the UC browser application that we provide to you, along with any updates or upgrades that we make available to you. The Software excludes Third-Party Software.
(5)
"Third-Party Software"refers to the software developed or owned by third parties that UCWeb may deliver alongside the Software. This includes, but is not limited to, widgets or SDKs from these third parties and independent developers.
(6)
“Third-Party Sites” refers to websites, as well as articles, photographs, text, graphics, pictures, designs, music, sound, video, information, applications, software, and other content or items belonging to or originating from third parties, which are available through the Services.
2.
Using Our Services
(1)
Minimum Age.You must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required in your country to use the Services and/or have full legal capacity. If you are under 18 or the minimum age required in your country to use the Services and/or you don’t have a full legal capacity , you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Services.
(2)
License. The Intellectual Property Rights in the content provided by UCWeb within the UC Browser product and related services (including, but not limited to, software, technology, programs, web pages, text, pictures, images, audio, video, charts, layout designs, and electronic documents) are owned by UCWeb. The copyright, trademark rights, patent rights, trade secrets, and other intellectual property rights in the software upon which UCWeb relies to provide the Services are all owned by UCWeb. Subject to this Agreement, UCWeb hereby grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the Services. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by UCWeb and its suppliers.
(3)
Account.

You may provide us with your email address and set up a password to create your account. You may delete your UCWeb account at any time with notification to us. You may also be able to sign up to use the Service by logging into your account with your information from certain other social networking sites (like Facebook, Google, etc.). You confirm that you own the account and that you have the right to share your account information with us. You authorize us to collect your authentication information and other information that may be available on or through your social media account, consistent with your applicable settings and instructions.

You shall ensure that the Registration Data provided by you is accurate, complete, current, valid, and true and is updated from time to time. We shall bear no liability for false, incomplete, old or incorrect Registration Data provided by you and shall be entitled to terminate the Service if we determine that such Registration Data is inaccurate.

You are also responsible for all activities that occur through your account, whether you started them or a third party did. You cannot transfer, assign, or sell your account to anyone else. We are not responsible for any loss that you may incur if someone else uses your password or account, either with or without your knowledge.

We have the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and indefinitely, with or without notice if we believe that the information you provided is incorrect or false, or that the security of your account has been compromised, or for any other reason that we deem fair or reasonable.

You agree that any information or materials that you provide or are provided through usage of your account to UCWeb other than the Confidential Information will not be considered confidential, personal, sensitive or proprietary. For the avoidance of doubt, Confidential Information does not include alias, nickname, screen name or user name, and the profile photo used by you, or any other Contents that you may reasonably understand that it will not be treated confidentially when you send it to us.
(4)
Advertisement. Many of our Services are provided free of charge. UCWeb incurs substantial development, collocation and bandwidth expenses in doing this. To support our business and continue providing you with free services, we will display the advertisements of select partners to you.
3.
User Generated Contents
YOU AGREE THAT YOU WILL NOT POST, INPUT, UPLOAD, MODIFY, PUBLISH, OR SHARE ANY CONTENT THAT:
(1)
belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right;
(2)
is grossly harmful, violent, harassing, blasphemous defamatory, obscene, pornographic, pedophilic, libelous, abuse of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and other addictive substances, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, racially or ethnically objectionable, disparaging, relating or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or otherwise unlawful in any manner whatever;
(3)
may causes conflicts or hostility between different ethnic groups, religious groups, racial groups, or social groups;harm minors in any way;
(4)
infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary rights or intellectual rights of any person;
(5)
deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of such messages or communicates any information which is grossly offensive or menacing in nature;
(6)
impersonates another person;
(7)
contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource;
(8)
threatens the unity, integrity, defense, security or sovereignty of the country, friendly relations with foreign states, or public order or causes incitement to the commission of any cognizable offense or prevents investigation of any offense or is insulting any other nation;
(9)
threatens public health or safety; promotion of cigarettes or any other tobacco products or consumption of intoxicant including alcohol and Electronic Nicotine Delivery System (ENDS)& like products that enable nicotine delivery except for the purpose& in the manner and to the extent, as may be approved under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Rules made thereunder;
(10)
advertise or offers to sell or buy any goods or services for any business purpose;
(11)
downloads any file posted by another user that you know, or reasonably should know, cannot be legally distributed in such manner;
(12)
falsifies or deletes any author attributions, legal or other proper notices or proprietary designations or labels of the origin or source of software or other material contained in a file that is uploaded; or
(13)
harvests or otherwise collect information about others, including name, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, etc.
(14)
violates any applicable law for the time being in force;
UCWEB HAS NO OBLIGATION TO MONITOR YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE POSTED CONTENTS BUT HAS THE RIGHT TO ENSURE YOUR COMPLIANCE WITH THIS AGREEMENT OR TO COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE LAW OR THE ORDER OR REQUIREMENT OF A COURT, ADMINISTRATIVE AGENCY OR OTHER GOVERNMENTAL BODY.
UCWEB RESERVES THE RIGHT, AT OUR SOLE DISCRETION, TO REMOVE ALLEGED INFRINGING/ILLEGAL/IMPROPER CONTENTS WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE AND WITHOUT LIABILITY TO YOU. UCWEB RESERVES THE RIGHT, AT ANY TIME AND WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE, TO REMOVE OR DISABLE ACCESS TO ANY CONTENTS THAT UCWEB, AT ITS SOLE DISCRETION, CONSIDERS TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THIS AGREEMENT OR OTHERWISE HARMFUL TO THE SERVICE OR SOFTWARE.
4.
UC Boost Service
When UC Cloud Boost is enabled, it requests normal web content through a UCWeb proxy. UC Cloud Boost will exclude web pages that are on an intranet or that use secure connections. The browsing experience may change due to increased web page loading speeds when using UC Cloud Boost.
UCWeb reserves the right to modify the UC Cloud Boost service at any time, to limit usage, to charge for continued usage (of course, users must opt-in before any charges are incurred), and/or to discontinue the UC Cloud Boost service.
In addition, UCWeb reserves the right to revise the terms and conditions of the Cloud Boost Service, which may include making the Cloud Boost Service subject to a separate agreement.
5.
UC Cloud Service (UC drive)
You will enjoy 20 GB storage space free. You can upload, store, send, receive and transmit contents including documents, files, audios, videos, photos, multimedia content. Additional storage and features are available for purchase the UC Drive Membership Service, which will be provided only upon your explicit agreement to the applicable fees and terms. You shall safeguard your password and shall not to share your account details with any third party. UCWeb is not liable for any unauthorized access or data loss resulting from your failure to safeguard your account.
You fully acknowledge and agree that you will use the Services on your own responsibility and you will be responsible for any of your actions and outcomes through your use of the Services.
You may not transmit, post, download or share content that are unlawfully pornographic or indecent, or that contain extreme acts of violence or terrorist activity, including terror propaganda, or material that's fraudulent, defamatory, or misleading; or violate the privacy or infringe the rights of others.
You agree that UCWeb may review your conduct and content for compliance with these terms. Also, UCWeb may remove or refuse to display User Content that we reasonably believe violates our policies or applicable law.
6.
UC Hot Chat Service
When you use AI character chat service, you shall promise:

not to use the service to engage in any illegal activities (including but not limited to fraud, harassment, and spreading malware)
●
comply with the laws and regulations of the country/region where you reside, including data protection, intellectual property rights, and content dissemination laws.
●
not to input, upload or deliberately induce to generate the following harmful content:
■
Hate speech, violence, pornography, and child sexual exploitation content.
■
Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights and privacy rights of others.
■
False information, fraudulent information, or spam.
■
Other content that violates Google Play policies (such as the User Generated Content Policy and the Inappropriate Content Policy).
●
You understand that AI-generated content may be biased or inaccurate, and we do not guarantee its applicability.
●
You are the owner and creator of Input. UCWeb may not grant you any rights to the Output, which in some cases may also be subject to intellectual property rights. Please note that all provisions of Terms referring to‘Content’and‘Third Party Content’are applicable to Input and Output.
●
We may use filtering technology or manual review, but we cannot guarantee that illegal content will be completely blocked.
●
You can report illegal or harmful content through the instructions on the chat box page, and we will handle it within a reasonable time.
7.
Virtual Private Network Service:
Through UCWeb’s browser you may have access to a virtual private network (“VPN”). You agree not to use the VPN service in a manner that violates applicable law or otherwise infringes any third party’s rights. UCWeb does not guarantee that VPN service will always be available. The VPN feature is not an end-to-end service and it does not guarantee that any transmissions of information made while using VPN will be secure. Note that certain websites may not be accessible while using VPN.
The VPN is a premium, paid virtual private network feature. VPN is provided by a third-party service provider which owns, operates, and maintains the infrastructure which provides the VPN. Depending on where you live, you may access a virtual private network. VPN may not be legal in all countries and territories. You should be aware that some governments may decide that VPN services are not legal with little or no warning. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of VPN is legal under local law.
While the VPN feature is intended to enhance your online privacy, UCWeb does not guarantee that your identity, location, or activity will be completely concealed. The VPN does not protect you from all forms of tracking or surveillance, and should not be relied upon for absolute anonymity or security.
You acknowledge that use of the VPN feature is at your sole risk. UCWeb shall not be liable for any damages, losses, legal actions, or penalties resulting from your use or misuse of the VPN service.
In keeping with the Terms, we expect you to use VPN in a legal and responsible way.

Accordingly, you may not use, assist, or enable others to use the VPN for any unlawful, illicit, illegal, criminal or fraudulent purpose whatsoever.
●
You may not use the VPN to assault, interfere, gain unauthorized access, deny service in any way or form to any other network or device through the VPN.
●
You may not use the VPN to exploit children in any way.
●
You may not use the VPN to violate, infringe, or misappropriate other people’s intellectual property, privacy or other legal rights.
●
You may not use the VPN to distribute spam, malware, or viruses of any kind.
8.
Snapshot
You may access Snapshot function, by which you can take screenshots of content viewed through the browser. This feature is for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree never to use the feature in any way that violates applicable law, or the rights of any third party, including copyrights.
9.
Infringement Notice
UCWeb respects the intellectual property of others and require you to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement if they comply with the law. UCWeb reserve the right to investigate notices of copyright, trademark and other intellectual property infringement (“Infringement”) in respect of User Content and other material on the Site, Software and Services (“Infringing Material”) and take appropriate action.
If you are a copyright owner, authorized to act on behalf of one, and believe that your work has been used or copied in a way that constitutes Infringement and such Infringement is occurring on the Services, please notify us in writing immediately in the form and containing the information prescribed by the Singapore Copyright Act 2021 (“Infringement Notice”) as well as the following information:

Identify the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by this Infringement Notice, you may provide a representative list of the copyrighted works that you claim have been infringed.
●
Identify the material or link you claim is infringing and to which access is to be disabled or the exact location where such material may be found.
●
Provide your company affiliation (if applicable), mailing address, telephone number, and, if available, email address.
●
Provide your full legal name and your electronic or physical signature.
●
Upon receipt of an Infringement Notice as described above, we will evalute all Infringement Notices submitted in the above matter and may take whatever action, in our sole discretion,, including removal of the alleged content from the Services. You agree that you shall not take any legal action or exercise any legal remedy you may have against us in respect of any Infringing Material, unless you have first given us the Infringement Notice and sufficient opportunity to remove the Infringing Material, and thereafter we refuse or fail to remove the Infringing Material within a reasonable time. Where we remove the Infringing Material in response to your Infringement Notice, you agree not to exercise and you hereby waive, any right of action against us under applicable law which you may have in respect of any Infringing Material appearing on the Platform prior to such removal by us.
You acknowledge and agree that we have no control and cannot undertake responsibility or liability in respect of Infringing Material appearing on Third Party Sites. We reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services if: you are in material breach of these Terms, or doing so would expose us to legal liability or compromise our ability to provide the Services to our other users, or
10.
USE RESTRICTIONS
By using the Software or the Service, you agree that:
(1)
you will not use the Service or Software for unlawful purposes;
(2)
you will only use the Service or download the Software for your sole personal use and will not license, sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, distribute or otherwise commercially exploit or make available to any third party the Service or Application in any way, you will not modify or make derivative works based upon the Service or Software, you will not reverse engineer for any reasons or purposes;
(3)
you will not carry out any denial of service (DoS, DDoS) or any other harmful attacks on the Software or Service, you will not disrupt or place unreasonable burdens or excessive loads on the Software or Service, or interfere with or attempt to make, or attempt any unauthorized access to the Software or Service, or any part of the Application or Service, or any user of the Software or Service, you will not try to harm the Service, Software or our network in any way whatsoever, you will not bypass any measures UCWeb may use to prevent or restrict access to the Service;
(4)
you will comply with all applicable laws from your country, state and/or city of domicile and residence and the country, state and/or city in which you are present while using the Software or Service;
(5)
you shall not impersonate another person or impersonate, guide or host on behalf of, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, including, but not limited to UCWeb officials, employees, agents, partners, affiliates, dealers and franchisees;
(6)
you will not access the Software or Servicer to design or build a competitive product or service, or a product or service using similar ideas, features, functions or graphics of the Service or Application; copy any ideas, features, functions or graphics of the Service or Software;
(7)
you will not launch an automated program or script, including, but not limited to, web spiders, web crawlers, web robots, web ants, web indexers, bots, viruses or worms, or any program which may make multiple server requests per second, or unduly burdens or hinders theUCWebtion and/or performance of the Service or Software.
UCWEB WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO INVESTIGATE AND PROSECUTE VIOLATIONS OF ANY OF THE ABOVE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. YOU WILL PROVIDE UCWEB WITH SUCH INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS WHICH UCWEB MAY REASONABLY REQUEST. UCWEB MAY INVOLVE AND COUCWebTE WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES IN PROSECUTING USERS WHO VIOLATE THESE TERMS.
THE USER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT THE SOFTWARE AND SERVICES CONTAIN VALUABLE TRADE SECRETS, CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION, AND PROPRIETARY INFORMATION OF UCWEB. USER FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT ANY ACTUAL OR THREATENED BREACH OR VIOLATION OF THIS CLAUSE WILL CONSTITUTE IMMEDIATE, IRREPARABLE HARM TO UCWEB FOR WHICH MONETARY DAMAGES WOULD BE AN INADEQUATE REMEDY AND THAT INJUNCTIVE RELIEF IS AN APPROPRIATE REMEDY FOR ANY SUCH BREACH OR VIOLATION.
11.
Changesto Services
UCWeb reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Services in whole or in part, and to terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice. You agree that UCWeb shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Services. UCWeb reserves the right to assign its rights and responsibilities under these General Terms to any third party.
12.
Third-Party Software,and Third-Party Sites
(1)
Third-Party Softwarethat you can access through the UC browser applications are provided by other companies ("Third Party Services"). Third Party Services may haveseparate terms and conditions.
(2)
UCWebexercises no editorial control overThird-Party Sitesthat you access through the Services.UCWebhas no control over and no responsibility for Third Party Sites or Third Party Content. Inclusion of, linking to, or permitting the use or installation of any Third Party Site or any Third Party Content does not imply approval or endorsement thereof byUCWeb. By using Services, you acknowledge and accept that the Content is published by independent third parties and the views and opinions expressed are solely those of such third parties.
13.
PRIVACY
UCWeb takes your privacy and security of your information very seriously. Our Privacy Policy is part of and is governed by this Agreement. By agreeing to this Agreement, you agree to be bound by the terms of the Privacy Policy and agree that we may use information collected from you in accordance with its terms.
These may include data collection, automated processing, cross-border transfers, and sharing with third-party partners or service providers.
14.
TERM AND TERMINATION
You can stop using our Services at any time. We have the right to suspend or end your access to our Services or delete your account if we determine: you broke the rules of our Terms or Use or any other applicable policies; such action is necessary to comply with the laws or regulations;your use of our Services may pose a risk or cause harm to UCWeb, our users, or anyone else; inactivity of you account, which is defined as failing to sign-in to the Services for an extended period of time, as determined by UCWeb.
15.
GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
(1)
Governing Law:These Terms will be governed by Singapore law except for its conflicts of laws principles.
(2)
Dispute Resolution:Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, including any question regarding its existence, validity, or termination, shall first be settled by the parties through friendly negotiation. If the dispute cannot be settled through negotiation within thirty (30) days, it shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC”) in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC Rules”) for the time being in force, which rules are deemed to be incorporated by reference in this clause. The seat of the arbitration shall be Singapore. The Tribunal shall consist of one (1) arbitrator. The language of the arbitration shall be English. The arbitral award shall be final and binding upon both parties.
16.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE SOFTWARE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE, ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT, OR OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS ARISING BY STATUTE, UCWebTION OR LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED. UCWEB DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE OR SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OR THAT THE SOFTWARE OR SERVICES DO NOT CONTAIN ANY VIRUSES. NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES ARE MADE BY ANY SUPPLIERS TO UCWEB UNDER OR BY VIRTUE OF THIS AGREEMENT.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL UCWEB BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INDIRECT DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION: DAMAGES FOR INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS, LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, OR THE LIKE) REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION NEGLIGENCE), STRICT PRODUCT LIABILITY, OR OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL THE CUMULATIVE LIABILITY OF UCWEB ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID TO UCWEB IN RESPECT OF THE SOFTWARE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR IF NO FEES WERE PAID THEN FIVE HUNDRED US DOLLARS($500). THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY WILL APPLY NOTWITHSTANDING THE FAILURE OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF ANY LIMITED REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN. IN NO EVENT WILL ANY SUPPLIER TO UCWEB HAVE ANY LIABILITY TO THE USER UNDER THIS AGREEMENT.
17.
Amendments and Transfers
UCWeb may update the Agreement from time to time. It is your responsibility to remain informed of any changes, because you are legally obligated to abide by the latest versions of the Agreement. You may not assign or transfer your rights under the Agreement without obtaining UCWeb’s prior written consent, and any purported assignment or transfer in violation of this section will be null and void.
18.
No Waiver
No omission or delay by a party to this Agreement in exercising any or part of its rights under this Agreement shall UCWebte as a waiver thereof. Unless expressly stated otherwise (i.e. expressed to be an exclusive right or remedy), the rights and remedies provided in this Agreement are cumulative and not exclusive of any rights or remedies (whether provided by law or otherwise).
19.
Severability
The provisions of this Agreement are severable, and if any provision, or any portion thereof, is determined by a competent court or tribunal to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable for any reason, any remaining portion of that provision, and all other provisions of this Agreement, shall remain valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law in order to give effect to the intentions of the parties to this Agreement.
20.
Third Party Rights
Except as expressly set out in the Agreement, any person not a party to the Agreement may not enforce any of its terms nor be conferred any benefit under this Agreement under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 of Singapore or otherwise.
